At Pirate Pots, player welfare is not a checkbox - it is a core part of how we operate. Gambling should be an enjoyable pastime with clear limits and full control remaining in your hands at all times. This page explains the tools available to you, the signs to watch for and where to turn if you or someone you know needs support.
All responsible gambling tools are available in your account settings. Changes that restrict your activity take effect immediately. Our support team is available around the clock at support@pirate-pots.uk if you need guidance or wish to apply any of these measures.
Player Protection Tools
Your account includes the following tools, all configurable from your settings panel. Limits that restrict your activity take effect immediately. Requests to increase limits or shorten exclusion periods require a 24-hour cooling-off period.
Deposit Limits
Set a cap on how much you can deposit over a daily, weekly or monthly period. Once the limit is reached, further deposits are declined until the period resets. Lowering your limit takes effect immediately.
Loss Limits
Put a ceiling on your net losses within a given timeframe. When losses reach the figure you set, the system prevents further play until the period expires, helping you avoid chasing losses.
Wager Limits
Restrict the total amount you can bet across all games in a day, week or month. Wager limits give you fine-grained control beyond deposits and losses, particularly useful if you play frequently at smaller stakes.
Session Time Limits
Set a maximum session duration. When your time is up, you are automatically logged out. Choose from preset intervals or enter a custom session length. An on-screen countdown reminds you as the limit approaches.
Reality Checks
Enable periodic on-screen reminders showing how long you have been playing and your net result for that session. At each check you can choose to continue or end your session. Checks can be set as frequently as every 15 minutes.
Self-Exclusion
Step away from the platform entirely. Available durations are 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or permanent exclusion. During exclusion your account is suspended and marketing is suppressed. Contact support to begin the process immediately.
Warning Signs
Problem gambling can develop gradually. Being aware of the warning signs - in yourself or in someone close to you - is the first step towards getting support.
Emotional Signs
- Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when not gambling.
- Using gambling to escape stress, depression or difficult feelings.
- Feeling guilty or ashamed about the amount you gamble.
- Lying to friends or family about your gambling habits.
Behavioural Signs
- Spending more time or money gambling than you originally planned.
- Chasing losses - continuing to gamble in an attempt to win back money already lost.
- Neglecting work, relationships or other responsibilities because of gambling.
- Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling activity.
Self-Assessment
Answer the following questions honestly. If you find yourself answering yes to several of them, it may be worth speaking to a professional support service.
- Have you ever spent more money gambling than you could comfortably afford to lose?
- Have you gambled to escape worry, boredom, loneliness or unhappiness?
- After losing money gambling, have you felt you must return as soon as possible to win it back?
- Have you ever borrowed money or sold something to fund your gambling?
- Have you ever hidden your gambling activity from family, friends or your employer?
- Have arguments about money, often connected to gambling, become a source of difficulty in your relationships?
- Have you ever felt that life would be easier if you stopped gambling but found it difficult to do so?
- Have you gambled until you lost everything you brought with you - and then returned another day to try again?
If you answered yes to two or more of the above, we strongly encourage you to use the self-exclusion tool and to contact one of the support organisations listed below.

If you share a device or household with minors, we strongly recommend taking active steps to prevent access to gambling websites. Children and young people should never be exposed to gambling content without proper supervision and parental controls in place.
Parental Control Tools
The following software tools can help you block access to gambling websites on shared devices:
- Net Nanny - Comprehensive content filtering with category-based blocks including gambling. Available for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. netnanny.com
- Cyber Patrol - Parental control software with configurable gambling category filtering. cyberpatrol.com
- Built-in browser controls - Most modern browsers include parental control or content restriction settings in their advanced options. Check your browser's help documentation.
- Router-level filtering - Many home routers support content filtering at network level, blocking specific categories of sites for all devices on your Wi-Fi. Consult your router's manual or your internet service provider.
- GamBan - A device-level blocking tool that prevents access to gambling websites across all browsers and applications. gamban.com
